Matteo Cirla
Matteo joined IGI in 2010, after having worked for over 6 years as a Partner of Synergo, a private equity firm which he co-founded in 2004. Prior to joining Synergo, he spent 6 years, covering various investment banking roles. Matteo started his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Milan in 1996.
Matteo graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Pavia and received his Master in Corporate Finance from the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Angelo Mastrandrea
Angelo has been in IGI for 21 years, joining the company in 2003 to become Investment Director with increasing responsibility for buyout operations. He became Partner in 2016. Prior to joining IGI, he worked in Mediobanca as an analyst in the Risk Management and Management Control divisions.
Angelo graduated in Business Economics from the University of Bari and received his Master in Merchant Banking from the LIUC University Carlo Cattaneo.
Paolo Merlano
Paolo is one of IGI’s Partners and has served as the company’s CFO since its foundation. Prior to joning IGI in 1998, he spent 7 years working as a credit analyst in Interbanca.
Paolo graduated in Management Engineering from the Politecnico of Milan.
Giorgio Cirla
Prior the foundation of IGI in 1998, Giorgio Cirla was Managing Director of Interbanca from 1997 to 2006 and of Arca Merchant from 1987 to 1997. From 1960 to 1987 he worked in Banco Lariano where he covered the roles of Deputy General Manager and COO.
In his role as Chairman of IGI, he focuses on the origination of new investment opportunities and investor relations.
Andrea Bruschi
Andrea joined IGI in 2018 after 5 years as a Partner of Labs Investments, an M&A boutique, responsible for origination and execution of mainly sell-side primary mid-cap deals.
Previously, he carried out major financial and turnaround operations for an advisory, specializing management control and financial performance analysis.
Andrea graduated in Economics and Law at the Bocconi University of Milan.
Andrea Sironi
Andrea joined IGI in 2024 after 5 years in Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A., where he specialized in the analysis and structuring of direct investments and club deals, equity capital market operations, as well as M&A deals for clients and investee companies.
Previously, he worked in Deloitte Financial Advisory for 4 years, focusing on corporate finance and strategic projects.
Andrea graduated in Management at the Cattolica University of Milan.
Alessandro Castiglioni
Alessandro joined IGI in 2019 after obtaining his degree in Business Management from the Cattolica University of Milan.
Fabio Torazzi
Fabio joined IGI in 2023 after 5 years in Fondo Italiano di Investimento SGR, specializing in investments in Private Equity and Private Debt funds.
Fabio graduated in Banking and Finance at the Cattolica University of Milan.
Giorgio Pivanti
Giorgio joined IGI in 2023, after 5 years of experience in the M&A sector, first in UBI Banca and in Equita SIM then, supporting senior bankers in the origination and execution of mid and large-cap transactions, with exposure on both sell-side and buy-side mandates.
Previously, he worked in the Valuation team of KPMG Corporate Finance in Brazil, with a focus on the infrastructure sector gaining analytical skills in cash flows modeling analysis.
Giorgio graduated in Finance at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome.
Giovanni Morelli
Giovanni joined IGI in 2022 after completing a Master’s Degree in Merchant Banking from the LIUC Carlo Cattaneo University.
Giancarlo Gramegna
Giancarlo joined IGI in 2006, after having worked for over 10 years in the Corporate Banking division of Intesa Sanpaolo, specializing in syndicated financing transactions
Giancarlo graduated in Economics and Commerce at the Cattolica University of Milan.
Enrico Saronni
Enrico has been with IGI since 2006.
He is the Middle Office and Accounting Manager
Mary Ellis-Rees
Mary joined IGI in 2010. She is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant.
